FITNESS
Exercise professionals have typically been employed to instruct individuals and/or groups in traditional settings, such as in fitness centres or studios. However, new roles have emerged in a range of settings. They include those involved in fitness instruction, consultation and management, in community centres, sporting facilities, in the workplace, outdoors and as part of mobile services. More than ever before exercise professionals are able to plan and extend their careers by delivering a range of services in various settings, to a larger proportion of the community.
